Ten Dimension AI Readiness Framework

The Digital Education Council 2025 AI Working Group has launched the Ten Dimension AI Readiness Framework. 

The Framework provides a shared structure for higher education institutions to assess their current state of AI readiness.

The tool helps identify gaps and align AI initiatives with long-term institutional goals.

It outlines ten key dimensions, four guiding principles, and four levels of readiness to support institution-wide AI integration across teaching, research, governance, and operations.

Developed with input from 27 universities across 17 countries, the Framework also includes case studies that highlight challenges and scalable solutions in institutional AI adoption.
