Faculty Support and Resource Basket by the DEC Business School Deans Working Group

4 & 5 March 2026
Online

This Executive Briefing presents the Faculty Support and Resource Basket developed by the DEC Business School Deans Working Group. It examines, from an organisational perspective, how business schools and higher education more broadly can remain relevant and competitive.  Drawing on real-world case studies, the Basket includes over 50 practices that institutions can adopt as resource builders and capability enablers.

Through this work, 14 deans have identified five key challenges facing business schools. While grounded in the business school context these challenges are applicable across the higher education sector. Adopting a resource-based view, the Faculty Support and Resource Basket focuses on how institutions can deliberately build the internal resources and capabilities needed to address each challenge.
