AI Meets Academia: What Faculty Think

16 & 17 January 2025
Online

Following our Global AI Student Survey, the Digital Education Council’s Global AI Faculty Survey will seek to identify faculty use and perceptions of AI, and provide data-driven recommendations to guide members’ decision-making.

The panellists will present key insights from our survey on faculty views on  integrating AI into teaching in higher education, as well as faculty viewpoints on future key competencies and the evolving role of academics and teaching staff.

The panellists will also explore what type of AI integrations are deemed useful, as well as viewpoints on whether institution regulation helps or hinders AI use. Finally, they will share key insights gained from the survey to help develop effective AI governance approaches that align with faculty needs and expectations that will facilitate AI integration.
