Three Best Practices in Higher Education

Launched in March 2026, the Digital Education Council Best Practices Collection brings together a curated set of institutional practices from across the global higher education community, highlighting tested approaches developed and implemented by leading universities.

As part of the initiative, DEC is releasing a preview featuring three selected best practices from the Collection. 

These examples offer a first look at the types of approaches institutions are developing to advance teaching, learning, research, and institutional transformation.

The full Collection is organised across six domains where transformation in higher education is currently happening:

1. Assessment and Pedagogy
2. Research & Innovation Practice
3. Curriculum & Learning Design
4. Student Engagement & Support
5. Faculty Development & Capacity Building
6. Operational Innovation & Transformation

Each practice highlights concrete strategies, implementation considerations, and lessons learned, providing institutions with clear guidance, practical models, and support.
